The Virginia Occupational Therapy Education Council is a community of occupational therapy students, practitioners, fieldwork educators, capstone mentors, and occupational therapy faculty who collaborate to enhance the opportunities and qualities of fieldwork & capstone education for future practitioners.
Occupational Therapists for Environmental Action
We are a group of occupational therapy practitioners and students (OTPS) raising awareness about the impact of climate change on human health, wellness, and participation in meaningful occupations. We endeavor to collaborate with like-minded OTPS to address the ways in which human occupation can either contribute to or mitigate the worst effects of the climate crisis.

Our aim is to evaluate each candidate's potential for success in the program, while also recognizing the unique perspectives and backgrounds that they bring to the table. By evaluating each candidate's potential for success in the program, the committee aims to identify the most promising applicants based on program standards and expectations.
